The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin 1er Cru Estournelles Saint-Jacques (Domaine Louis Jadot) offers up attractive aromas of red plums wild berries citrus rind and coniferous forest floor. On the palate the wine is medium to full-bodied satiny and layered with nice flesh and concentration underpinned by a bright line of animating acidity.

The 2017 Gevrey-Chambertin Estournelles Saint-Jacques 1er Cru has a slightly minty generous bouquet compared to the Les Cazetiers very pure in style and nicely defined. The palate is supple on the entry and smooth in texture with a plump caressing and quite detailed finish that is very classy. A little gem from Jadot.
