Jasper Morris: 91-93 Points

An attractive mid crimson colour. A fine fresh bouquet elegant fruit not too demonstrative but with a graceful detailed red fruit alpine strawberry and little raspberry notes. Very nicely put together all about the fruit more than the structure.

Wine Advocate: 89-91 Points

Aromas of dark berries cherries vanilla pod spices and petals preface the 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village a medium to full-bodied ample and fleshy wine with supple tannins and a suave charming profile. This historic Beaune négociant house is also an important proprietor in its own right and one that's only growing with the acquisition last year of 20 additional hectares located in Saint-Romain and Saint-Véran. The Drouhin family remains committed to the ideal of elegance and the 2022 vintage has played into their hands in that respect producing a crop of sensual charming wines that come warmly recommended. Robert Drouhin told me that they're planning to extend white wine élevage?which I might have the temerity to suggest complementing with a more reductive handling in the cellar as I have tended to find recent vintages of the Laguiche Montrachet more glorious in the flush of youth than after a decade in the cellar. Burghound: 89-91 Points

Outstanding Note: from several lieux-dits including <20% from the 1er Les Chaumes There is plenty of Vosne spice suffusing the slightly riper aromas of poached plum dark cherry and a whiff of hoisin. The delicious caressing and seductively textured middleweight flavors tighten up noticeably on the dusty serious and long finale where the only reproach to be found is a touch of warmth. A quality villages.

Vinous: 88-90 Points

The 2022 Vosne-Romanée Village picked September 5 to 10 comes from several parcels including declassified Premier Crus. The aromatics offer red cherries boysenberry and a touch of menthol. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit. There are quite bold tannins perhaps needing to muster more precision on the finish to rank amongst the best Vosne Villages. Give it a couple of years in bottle. (Drink between 2025-2034)

Jancis Robinson: 17 Points

Five different blocks. Barrel-aged wine blended in tank. Tank sample.Pale crimson. Polished and vibrant. There is real energy here with a dry finish. Impressive for a village wine! Long. (Drink between 2025-2035)
